Book Club: American Novels
This October, our Book Club will read Of Mice and Men, Jonh Steinbeck' acclaimed novella about friendship, dreams, and the harsh realities of life during the Great Depression.
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Set against the backdrop of the Great Depression, the novel follows George Milton and Lennie Small, two migrant workers who dream of owning their own piece of land. Through their friendship and struggles, Steinbeck explores themes of loneliness, friendship, dreams, power, and the harsh realities of the American Dream.
An immersive literary experience in English
Join us for a four-week journey into American literature in a welcoming and engaging environment. Each week we'll read one section of the novel and come together to discuss its themes, characters, language, and cultural context.
Our sessions combine close reading, literary analysis, and open conversation, creating a space where participants can exchange ideas, develop critical thinking, and strengthen their English through meaningful discussion.
